Everyone has their own favourite live poker room for whatever reason, but which are the most popular choices and why? Since Black Friday destroyed the online scene in the USA, live casinos have had to raise their games to fight for their slice of the pie in what has become a much more competitive industry than before.

The online game might be spreading across the country now but it has been painfully slow progress and so, in the USA it is still very much a live poker scene.

So which are the best live poker rooms in the USA? It won’t be a surprise to learn that Las Vegas has close to a monopoly but there are other choices. Let’s take a look at what we think are the most popular options and see why they are.

Wynn Poker Room at the Encore

The Wynn poker room is located in the Encore Resort. In 2016, it moved from its original location to a 8,600-square-foot floor with 28 tables split into two areas with the higher stakes games set aside.

This poker room is one of the most modern you will ever find. Extremely comfortable seating around perfectly designed tables with automatic shufflers. There are even USB ports for each player at each table.

There must be close to 40 65-inch TVs mounted around the outside of the room, showing the latest sporting events from around the world.

This is definitely one of the best places to play poker in the USA and Daniel Negreanu’s favourite room in Las Vegas.

“The Wynn is crushing it. The Wynn is doing a fantastic job with their tournament series. The facility is great, the tables are spread apart, and the room is really nice.”

Aria Poker Room

The Aria poker room is another with luxurious surroundings even if a little crowded at the tables sometimes. This is the one of the places where you are likely to bump into some of poker’s biggest names on any given evening, possibly even Phil Hellmuth who is sponsored by the resort.

This poker room is not one of the biggest around, meaning that wait times can sometimes be longer than hoped but the overall playing experience is thought to be worth it. The room’s size also means that it can feel a little noisy at times.

Tournament players have a great choice of daily events to choose from with buy-ins of $120 and $240.

Cash game players receive $2 per hour in comps which is double the usual $1 throughout the industry.

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino (Hollywood, Florida)

Away from the dry heat of Las Vegas, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino sits in the tropical humidity of Florida. The resort is one of the nicest gamblers will ever visit anywhere in the world.

There is a reason why the World Poker Tour stops here frequently to host its events.

The poker room has 45 tables running around the clock with a wide variety of stakes and mixed games available most of the time.

Borgata, Atlantic City

Borgata is the place to go for those living in the north east of the USA. Located in the gambling Mecca of Atlantic City, New Jersey, Borgata is known for its tournament schedule. Spring, summer, autumn, and winter tournament series can last for as long as one month.

The cash game scene is also worth checking out. Stakes start at the usual $1/$2 but can be as high as $200/$400.

Definitely a place to check out if you’re in the area.
