Site Strength Comparison

Posted 8 years ago

I was wondering which sites are the fishiest for 6-max poker at low-mid stakes (50nl-200nl) and where you can get high enough volume to play 6-12 tables. I've had a go myself let me know what order you think they should be in.

Pokerstars, Ipoker, Party, Merge, ACR, Sky, 888, Bet365

6 tabling i believe anywhere is open to you even a site with no auto top up such as Unibet. Once you get to the 7-12 point i think Unibet would not be possible but pretty much everywhere else will be.

Softness from softest/toughest

1. Unibet
2. Sky
3. 888
4. Party
5. Bet365 (if you play their exclusive tables for B365 customers only)
6. Full Tilt
7. ACR
8 Stars

I think that would be pretty much the order however the ones towards the toughest end are because i have not played there for a long time so can't really comment. So maybe not that tough but just going off what i know.

I would say Party is well worth a shot tbh and they are even in our rake race which is the only race in the world they are in which is obv a huge br boost. Check out the deal Here

Jon,
With regards to party poker, I multi tabled 10nl there in early to mid 2014 and it was awesome, I crushed those stakes and took a few shots at 25nl however by May/June 2014 they had introduced a system whereby the fish were filtered away from regs and it became a Reg fest, hence a huge drop in traffic.
Has that changed now in 2016?

Yes i believe so. I find when a site changes their VIP system or the word gets round it is reg infested people tend to witness this or believe it and just go elsewhere. But eventually the games get good again and the traffic increases. All just about waiting it out or making sure you keep checking back on the games.

I'm currently at stars, at 10nl it's still got a good amount of fish but I might give Party poker a try again.
Thanks for the thread Jon👍🏻

I remember a friend of mine who plays $1/2 - $2/4+ saying he just completely ignores major rooms - Grinds PartyPoker and TigerGaming almost exclusively now...Rewards aren't as great but he just picks and chooses his opportunities and plays a patient game.

Stars games at the micros can be good especially if you are staying away from zoom BUT you know what you should try due to even just the ease of it - Full Tilt. They have made some major changes and although the traffic is low the majority of the regs have cleared off. Trust me it's worth a blast!

Ha is that mate me? Sounds familiar lol.

Yeh i do exactly the same but for me it has always been Sky, Unibet and BetVictor type rooms. Their software is pretty dope, great traffic and the rewards especially on BV are incredibly high.

From my limited experience I think ACR is average, lots of regs filling the tables. Do you have any experience or know of the softness/toughness of Carbon?

If you go to Full Tilt I wouldn't recommend Rush poker. With Rush you do benefit from not loading up tables and also you can play high volume on not many tables but in terms of making money it's not worth it. I've been playing it for the last month or so and it's so much tougher than the regular tables I've been playing at 888 and ACR, I imagine FT reg tables are really soft though. I've actually had to change my strategy quite dramatically. At FT most of my money comes from my red-line by stealing wide and playing aggressively. Regular tables players are really passive and don't fold so it's a case of playing tight and value betting making profit through our blue line.

The last 3k hands have been regular tables. As you can see red-line is negative because it's not worth us bluffing as much and yellow is positive for the last 3k so our true blue line is too (we're just running badly).

@Cookie Monster Sadly i do not have any experience there but if i ever do i will report back. ACR can be a mix however there is a lot of traffic there which are recreational players and lots of players spewing 24/7

@Archinator Do you feel your play differs even slightly between rush and regular tables? I find a lot of peoples red line suffers from Rush type games but this is due to fast folding to often and being impatient?!?!

@Jon-PokerVIP

I think your right for 90% of people, their red-line is going to suffer in Rush games. However I'm always looking at their fold to steal stats so I open much wider, BTN and SB up to 100%. I also make sure I don't fold too much when playing Rush although the temptation is to do so. I think I probably get away with being more aggressive too as people don't see the hands I show down as often and probably aren't keeping as many notes in Rush because their probably not going to be in too many hands with me and it's tempting to just play another hands with quick fold.

Thanks Jon,
I play 9-15 tables per session so my big concern is lack of volume but at the end of the day if it's gong to get me more money in the long run then so be it.
I get bored very easily if I drop below 9 tables.
I think I might be able to transfer my account over to full tilt from stars without too much fuss anyway.
I hate setting up hold em manager on a new site again😆

This is a bit off topic, but I was thinking about trying out Unibet as I have heard it was soft and was wondering if anybody plays on there whilst playing on another site on the side?

I understand Unibet don’t allow trackers/HUDs. But if I am playing a second site on the side that does, will I be in violation of Unibets terms and conditions by having PT4 running on my PC (for the second site) whilst the client is open?

@HOUDINI101 You use HEM? Blimey not many of you left out there! Seems most have been riddled with problems including myself. PT4 is so much easier to setup on all sites and works so much quicker. I was a 5+ year user of HEM2 btw so the change was pretty big for me but well worth it once you get used to it.

Hey buddy. First of all Unibet is epicly soft and 1000000% at least signing up to and just having a look around! I have played upto 400nl on there and my win rate is astronomical. It doesn't track so i don't know the exact hands or figures but it is probably around 15bb/100+. Also the PokerVIP rake race adds on sooooo much to your bottom line on top of all the missions and VIP programs Unibet offer. So yeh just give it a look basically and enjoy.

My Unibet series will be released next month so that should also give you a good idea of what it looks like for the micros and up.

Regarding the HUDs i believe you are fine to run it as your hh's don't save anywhere so i dont think anything at all is picked up and there is no way for you to run it on there. So i am 99% sure your fine.

Where would you place betvictor for softnes?

Really?? Didn't realise that Jon (I do actually use HEM2). I don't have any particular glitches etc with Hem2 so have never felt the need to change.
I might look into it if you recommend the change.
