Hey @Stephenjayy it seems you are right and we do not offer this at all. This is mainly due to 99% of the NLHE population play 6 Max.

I will look into getting these made asap!

How come you still play full ring? Do you find enough games still run?

Hi Jon, im not sure why i still play it think its just where is started for me from playing in the casino on a night out. when i play on stars there are still plenty of games running, if you could put up a few tips on full ring i would love that, but may consider moving to 6 max

hmmm, my reply seems truncated, editing it isn't working, so I'm gonna cut and paste. Sorry for double post. @Jon-PokerVIP you can delete my first one if you like...... And again, my post is cut off at a certain point. ????

I might be the only FR player here, and I am by no means a coach. I play NL100, so idk if my strategy would work for micros. But in general, when 9 handed, the first 3 seats I'm only opening 99+, AJs/AQ, KQ. Super tight, all PP and suited A9 and below in the muck, suited broadways only on the fishiest of tables (which means almost never). With so many players left to act, you can't count on AQ 3betting you, sometimes not even AK, so you can be dominated and not know it. The flip side to that is, you may open utg and get 5 callers. Then whatever you had, you're OOP and can't really love it. Or you open utg, get 4 callers and one guy bombs a 3bet for 20BB, then your medium PP goes in the muck. Position is king in poker, and full ring, you're much more likely to be OOP if you open too wide from early.

Once you get past the first few seats, 6max starting hand charts can guide you somewhat. The real catch with FR is that there is such a variety of players, so almost everything depends on players left to act. You're in HJ with T9s, sometimes you've got nits in the blinds so you want to raise, but the CO and BTN play 30/4 pre and f2cbet on flop and turn 40% each. So you'll never get a cbet through, you'll be OOP, TP might easily be dominated.... So this is where the starting hand charts are good to know, but you need to play the players much more than in 6max (imho).

There's lots of EP limping in full ring, so it is tempting to always raise over their limps to steal, but if just one person calls, you get all of them coming along. So in general, keep stealing but only with decent hands. Don't get fancy with K4o OTB vs 3 limpers. In an unopened pot in 6max you might have gone for the steal, but in this spot, just wait for something better.

As a beginner you should play both varieties anyway, just to see which one suits your personality more.

Hi @Stephenjayy , here's my opening range for the first three seats in a full ring game

I've tested this over more than 4.5million hands and tried to widen it but the hands I added such as ATs, and 22-66 always ended up losing me money. KQs has always been borderline break even, so in a tougher game where my win rate is minimal I would fold it. The only time I'm ever widening from these hands are when there is a really bad player in the blinds where I have reads on being able to exploit.

Yup! You can use 6max opening charts for full ring but just apply them to the latest 6 positions. Then look at the 6max UTG range and tighten it up a bit to estimate full ring UTG+2. Then tighten that a bit for UTG+1 and even more for UTG. It's not perfect but it'll be a good estimate and having the 6max chart means 2/3 of the work is done for you.

KQs is one of the most painful hands for me utg. It's so damn pretty that I can't help but open it, but it's just not worth the hassle.
