Practising new strategies

Posted 8 years agoEdited 8 years ago

What is the best method of implementing a new strategy e.g increasing your c/r?

I guess this is much dependent upon the area we are looking change. For example if we're looking to improve our win-rate BB Vs LP we might be best playing heads up? Playing HU might also be good for practising c/r OOP and facing a c/r IPO.

Other methods maybe playing 100% of hands out of the blinds like in some videos here on PokerVIP. But ofcourse there is a cost attached to this. We could minimise this by moving down the limits however.

Please leave any comments relevant to this post. It would be interesting to hear what people think is the most effective method of improving an area of their game.

Just starting with the basics and moving to more advanced stages

- Does it make sense.
- Why do we need to do this.
- What do we need to be doing this.
- Where it is most profitable.
- Relevant villain stats.
- Running sims.
etc etc etc

Basically do we need to implement it, why and how/when will it work best. Then it will come down to trial and error.
