Awesome to see some of these floating about although strange people are going for the chips and tables over the humans!

Any regs thinking about changing it up a bit and trying one out?

So I think I uploaded one, but it doesn't ever seem to show up in threads, or at least I can't see it? (Symbolic of how little we see our true selves?)

ignore, it's on now (meaning I probably doped it up somehow with my first pic)

@CycleVancouver Sometimes the avatars are slow to show depending on your location. It's a long story, but it's down to something called a CDN (content delivery network) which means if you are in Canada for example, you are served images from a server in Canada, as opposed to the actual server in the UK.

This means, that even when you update your avatar, it will update in the UK and most of Europe instantly, but you will continue to be served the old image in Canada for a while (I just assume that's where you are) until the UK server refreshes the CDN.

To be honest this level of technology is probably not really necessary for PokerVIP, but we use it across all our sites and on the higher traffic sites that get say 75% of visits from USA, Canada, Russia and so forth, it makes a big difference and is impossible to operate without (So I'm told :p).

Jamie, curious, which sites are "your sites"? I'm guessing pokertube based on all Jon's links? Any others?

@CycleVancouver WeakTight, DocumentaryTube, FootballTube (not so hot, but high traffic), OfficialMedia - which basically helps many other sites in poker you may know make money and a few others Smile

Also many, many half developed or badly developed domains. Stuff like Highroller.com for example, and one more biggy in poker which I cannot mention today, but will tell you all about some day in the future. Just try and stop me! Cheeky
