£10 to £1000 challenge!

Posted 8 years agoEdited 8 years ago

Lets turn £10 into £1K!!

Just a little fun, and something I have tried in the past. The idea is simple....I start with £10 and try and turn it in to £1000, with bets I feel to be "dead certs" - (1/10) type of stuff.

The challenge can be completed in 49 bets if I stick to 1/10 odds. I will probably lay some at nearly 1/5 if I feel it has a VERY high chance of coming in which should speed things up a bit. I have to place all my winnings form the pervious bet, onto the next bet. So I could get all the way up to £800 and lose it on 1 bet! This requires a lot of patients to begin with as we will only be making a few pennies profit!

These challenges have been completed by other people in as little as 19 bets! I will be posting screenshots of everything I place and I will place a minimum of 1 bet a day.

I will mainly be betting on - no clean sheet, double chance, over 0.5 goals and over 1.5 goals on the football.

Feel free to play along and even post bets of your own! My first bet will be posted soon Smile

Thursday probably wasn't the best day to start this challenge, as there isn't much football on and the only bet I could find was a 1/12. I've placed it anyway and we will receive a whopping 83p profit Laugh

You bet £10 to win 82p?

The game is current 0-0 at halftime now, the game is a friendly too I would stick to competitive matches.

What not go and do 10 bets at 10/1 @ £1.

I should have missed out today as I was struggling to find anything. That was literally the best bet I could find. If the game ended in a draw I would have got my money back. I see they won, so my next bet I will put on is £10.84.

I've got up to £125 doing it this way last time, so I will see if i can beat that! Once I get past £100 I take my original £10 stake back so I'm free rolling Yes

Haha.

So I'm guessing you're going to put money on Leicester to beat Arsenal this Sunday then? That' seems like a no brainier.

When you got to £125 what did you do cash out?

There's dead cents at miles better odds bud, presuming your aware as I see you bet a bit in the past.....but Marseille are certs at 1/3 . man city U21s at Man utd are guarantees for BTTS @ 19/20 as are Lazio and Verona @ 4/5. On the exchanges

You using bet 365? There's loads of football every night mate. Obscure granted but printing money bets.

Konyaspor @ 7/2 in play
Lima @ 6/4
Salzburg @ 4/6
Cardiff @ 2/5

Last nights teams and haven't heard of 3. Quick bit of research.Cheltenham paid for😀

Tonight we have
Wade to beat Smith
Taylor to beat wade
U21 MUvMC BTTS
Lazio BTTS

Is this cheating?

Ha I think it's a little too risky putting Leicester on. The odds can't be any better than 1/5.

My second bet is Cork city @1/5.
£10.84 returns £13 Laugh

Yes Jon, that's cheating Laugh

My mate is also doing the challenge and he has Marseille on. We're having a small comp.

SJLogic: those are the kind of bets I usually put on, and I will still be doing them on other accounts. This is just a random challenge with certain rules. I could risk it on better odds but that's not the name of the game. I'm bored while at work for a week and these keep me busy...plus, I'm only risking a tenner Smile

Yeahh let's do this lol

I didn't know you could do sports betting on pokerstars!

A funny tactic you have there KJ Cheeky it kind of deviates from the rule - you have to place your whole BR on the next bet - but it's not a bad idea to cover yourself.

@Harvie. I lost the £125 on a 1/10, as they don't always come in Sad

Yeah it's relatively new, they do "Bet & Go" where you can win up to 10x your bet LOL degens!

They ended up winning so up to $10.64!

Only did the draw thing as it was bet-in-play and only 1 goal in it, I thought just to be safe I'd still have nearly $6 to play with if they did equalize! But going forward I'm ready to lump the whole thing, and no more in-play!

Good luck guys, I hope you do well with it!

Do you use Betfair? If not, then it's worth having a look at as the odds are always better there and you would hit targets quicker.
Posted 8 years ago
Yeah good thinking Keith. I use BetFair but not for this. I feel Bet365 have a better market but BetFair have better odds. Its a tough one tbh.

BR: £13.

I'm leaving it until tomorrow where there are plenty of markets. I might even add a few 1/10 together in to an accy. I'm not sure if that's allowed but fuck it.
Posted 8 years ago
Yeh you are right, it is difficult. I don't use 365 very often as my account is restricted but they do seem to have more markets on their site.

As for the 1/10, its your rules so go for it.

Good luck!

Did you not fancy the Nadal to win 1st set and the match? Think 1/7 isn't a bad price considering!
Posted 8 years ago
Argh was gonna get on that myself but he's already 3-2 up in the 1st and the odds for both are real bad now.

But in for a penny...

I noticed those odds after placing the bet Sad that would have made a lot more sense.

I put a double on and that now brings me to just over £17. Another couple and I'll have doubled my BR LaughCool

How did Tsonga get on KJ?
