Sick prop bet - NSFW

Posted 8 years ago

Joey & Fedor made a pretty sick prop bet last night. Odds of 3:1

Fedor's 9k to Joey's 3k (3:1)
Joey cannot masturbate or watch porn for the rest of the year.

Link to the podcast, the discussion starts around 2:05.

I would genuinely love to do this prop bet if someone gave me 3:1 odds.

I assume good old sex doesn't count as a breach of prop bet? It's not a celibacy bet? If so I think it's doable though the stakes are kinda low.

Dumbest thing iv ever heard.....

I find these so pointless and its just an ego thing which will end up in a buy out.

I don't know. I don't know if porn is necessarily wrong (though 'some' porn certainly is) and I don't think masturbation is either, but everything has a certain healthy-threshold and if I had to make an educated guess I'd say an average human being exceeds that threshold. I don't think total abstention is a reasonable solution to the problem, but at the very least it might make for an interesting bet.

Sex is allowed.

@Jon-PokerVIP it all started when Fedor said he already had a bet that he wouldn't watch porn because he feels its just so much better, hes alot more attracted and has a better relationship with women because of it. And Fedor is the kinda guy who really researches these things it seems.

I think its definitely a cool idea to consider, super tough to do.

I can understand how people perceive it that way but its literally different strokes for different folks Wink

Pretty much. We can only speculate on the subject since the sheer popularity of porn and masturbation makes it virtually impossible to find a control group and therefore scientists have a hard time (no pun intended) of researching this topic. That being said some attempts have been made and some knowledgeable people seem to suggest that the good ol' 'everything in moderation' is - as always - the way to go.
