Does anyone own a Fitbit?

Posted 8 years ago

I'm thinking about getting one to learn more about my body and how I can improve my diet, activity and get a better quality of sleep.

They've already sold me with all the fancy marketing jargon, but is it really useful or a just another flashy toy?

Does anyone use a Fitbit? Does it make you more conscious of what you're doing? Is the tracking accurate?

I might go and buy one this week, but don't know anyone who has one.

If you tend to react positively to gamification (basically you're motivated by the easy to track progression, achievements etc. like in the screen above) then it might be worth the price of admission. For me, it's just a flashy overpriced toy, but at the same time, I can't hate on a device that has the potential to improve users health. So again, it comes down to a person, if you get motivated by easy to track progression than I'd get one.
