I asked around about this and apparently the vapour is very safe to both smoker and neighbours.
I would say that these weren't around when I gave up. I was a chain smoker, a professional at it, spending around £40 a day, so I tried nicotine patches and chewing gums, both full 4mg of course and like a boss I had 2 patches on, chewing gum and still chain smoking all at the same time. Unsurprisingly I was not feeling very well!

It used to be if someone saw me and I didn't have a cigarette in my mouth then it just wasn't me. I loved it when the clocks went on so I could pile another 12 fags or so into me. If anyone can smoke more than 7x20 packets a day or 4 packets of 50g tobacco hand rollers I give up, they win.
Then I met my mrs and gave up; just like that, no help, no weaning off crap, no cutting down bs, just stopped. Responsibility hit, I'd never had responsibility before and it was a shock. Not one of my friends believed I'd stopped for months, lol.
Anyway, my advice is just do it, after the first week you'll be fine. The difference in my general wellbeing is immense.
My only issues with vaping are the smoking habit is ongoing using them, the actions of it. Find something to do instead of it like miss it after food or whatever.
My other problem is that shops sell them to kids who think his vaping thing is a new craze and they'll be cool if the do it.
'nuff ramble from me, gl giving them up, it's only willpower.
