Wow what a run up this has been for the UFC, fighters and us fans! First it was meant to be Conor vs Nate, then Brock was added into the mix and now Jones is out but Silva is in! This has honestly been the craziest UFC of all time and we will not be disappointing on the night! BUZZING

The lineup:

From start to finish this is just soooooooo stacked and will be super entertaining. Tate is now the main event since Jones is out which I think is fair as it is a title fight and well she has earnt everything!

My picks:

Tate vs Nunes: Tate by submission (although Nunes could knock out a train)

Lesnar vs Hunt: Hunt

Cormier vs Silva: LOL Cormier (but would love to see OG Silva come in and batter him)

Aldo vs Edgar: Aldo

Velasquez vs Browne: Valasquez

Zingano vs Pena: Zingano

Hendricks vs Gastelum: Gastelum

Dillashaw vs Assuncao: Dillashaw

Northcutt vs Marin: Northcutt

Sanchez vs Lauzon: Lauzon

Mousasi vs Santos: Mousasi

Miller vs Gomi: Miller

Surprised the Aldo Vs.Edgar and the Velasquez vs Browne fight is not getting any attention on news media.Huge fights that are worthy to be headline fights on any event.

Cormier vs Silva, I see this going as a bully beat down, Cormier is a beast and see him taking Silva down and rag dolling him. I hope I'm wrong and Silva pulls something out of the bag, but on short notice I don't see it.

It is a great card, even with the shuffle at the top. Wish it was Holm-Tate, though. And I want to see Cain back in the mix, but Browne is a beast. Silva on 3 days' notice? That fight's gonna suck, at least Cormier will still get paid.

I'll pay the PPV price if you promise me Lesnar will cry by the end.

I pretty much agree with Jon's picks, though I like Hendricks, and I hate Cupcake's politics so I'll root for some Brazilian I know nothing about (until I learn about her politics, then hate her too).

For anyone who hasn't yet caught the results of last night's card, I highly recommend finding some video of it. 2 fights worth watching: the first one on the telly with some south Korean I've never heard of, Choi or Cho, and the title fight tween Joanna j and Claudia galhenia, which has to be a contender for fight of the year.

Is it just me or was the night a bit meh?

It just didn't deliver what I hoped it would.

So lets look at it fight by fight and my predicitions:

Tate vs Nunes: Tate by submission (although Nunes could knock out a train)

In the end Nunes did knock her out and barely got hands put on here. Serious power there and this division is wideeeeee open! Tate fucked up and was smashed which is a huge shame for both her and the sport IMO.

Lesnar vs Hunt: Hunt

Got this one wrong as well. Although both fighters looked pretty shit. Brock can take anyone down and lie on them and if that person is overweight and not that fit then its game over. Brock looked weak tho and the power and speed he had before vs the likes of Mir didn't seem to be there anymore. I think if he takes on Cain or Werdum he is fucked.

Cormier vs Silva: LOL Cormier (but would love to see OG Silva come in and batter him)

Yeh no shock here although I did want Silva to win deep down. I was buzzing when he got that big kick to the ribs in just before the end of the fight. Daniel is smart when it comes to getting wins but he will jsut not be a star due to this. Crazy I know but fuck he's boring to watch and listen to. As soon as someone takes the belt from him he will disappear.

Aldo vs Edgar: Aldo

What a performance! Aldo was a machine and can't wait to see the Conor rematch!

Velasquez vs Browne: Valasquez

NO SHOCK HERE! Browne is no where near good enough to even step in that cage with Cain. What a beast and a sick victory!

Zingano vs Pena:
Zingano

Surprising one here and again Zingano got smashed!

Hendricks vs Gastelum: Gastelum

Hendricks is a joke - didn't even make weight so gave up 20% of his purse. Looked like he hadn't trained at all and was just shit.

Dillashaw vs Assuncao: Dillashaw

Yeh good win for TJ although he can dance around as much as he wants he didn't connect enough IMO.

Northcutt vs Marin: Northcutt

Insane how he got out of that arm bar!

I agree the night was blah. No real OMG moments other than Nunes, and way too many boring ones. I do love me some Cain though, so I'm glad to see he's back.

Aldo is still one of the best ever, funny how one lucky Leprechaun punch and people seem to have forgotten this.

I think the Frittatas are selling at the peak.

Yeh it is 100% peaking!

Lucky leprechaun is a bit of a rash statement! You don't rate him?

He's great, no doubt, and I love the personality he brings to the game. All I meant was, he got Mendes who didn't have time to prepare and looked gassed after 1 round, then he got one punch in on Aldo, and suddenly he took over the world while never having to defend or rematch. Aldo is way too accomplished for people to forget about him, yet McG's personality is so huge that that's what happened.
