Hey guys. I've been on PokerVIP for a wee while now and have finally decided to make my own journey after reading everyone else's!

This is my first time playing poker while getting rake back and it's making me want to grind more!! Averaging around 1200 hands a day which is more than I thought I could do! Going to start playing 2000 once I sort out my tilt

I work offshore on a month on/off rotation so I have a whole month to play
while off. While at work I sadly can't play so I use the time to study

The worst part is I can't take place in any rake races because I get off work half way through the month!

Started playing on William hill which I'm happy enough with. I'll be checking
out other sites in the next few months! I have been keeping track of my results on a excel spreadsheet which I'll put in to a graph once I figure out how!! I may even get a HUD next month too!
Playing NL5 right now and I want to move up nice and steadily, the rake back will help

My October goals were to play 10k hands which I think I'll do so I'm changing it to 20k for a challenge 😃

Anyway, I'm rambling on. I'll hopefully have some good graphs and hands to share.

I play 2 tables of speed, usually takes 3 hours to reach 1200 so I'm sure I can throw a regular table in there to take it up to 2000.

I started on stars, then recently moved to Winamax but now this UK liscencing law has came out I had to change. Only been playing on William hill for a week. The software is ok and the player pool is really good for speed! I'm happy enough with it for now.

First update of my journey and its a good one. 4 Bi's up after 2K hands! That's me done for the day tho!
It would be good if I had a fancy graph to show you guys!

A leak to sort:

I have stopped 4-bet bluffing and its really making a difference.

Another 2K hands and hopefully the same tomorrow!!

I put together this quick graph for this week. As you can see I've came back from a loss. I'm hoping to get double that volume this week! This is pre-rake back.

Where do you work bro? These month on month off jobs usually play wells.

I work on a wind farm installation vessel out in Denmark/Germany. It's a good job and pays the bills!

I never actually thought of that! cheers. I'll be getting a new laptop at some point so i'll get the full version then! I feel I'm missing out on too much without one!

Quite a lot changed in my game. I stopped 4-bet bluffing pre, double floating and I gave up making hero calls!! After watching one of your small stakes vidoes I decided to stick to ABC and its working great. I'm another 2+ Bi's today

only 600 hands in tho.

I work as a rigger on this ship. They are really good things to work on, seen as its only 2 years old its up to date with everything!

No I work for Swire (companies like Balfour Beatty hire us). We've not worked for them yet tho. Not since I been here anyway.

Ahh I see I just know we have guys working on a ship out there!

I lost 4.5 Bi's playing drunk!! I thought those days were past me. Looking back on my hand history it looks like i adapted the "all-in or fold" strategy, which clearly didn't work. Back to the grind today where I've managed to scrape 2 bi's back!

I've also downloaded this 7-min workout app to use when i start to lose focus.

Ah the classic drunken all in or fold strat....doesnt often work out but when it does it can be a huge night lol.

Did you wake up after it and realise straight away what you had done? At least you had the sense to stop at 4.5bi. Heard a lot worse than that over the years.

I like the look of this app. 7 mins is pretty awesome as you can probably sit out of games and get back to them before they boot you off the tables. I don't use anything like this as i prefer to do 1 hour sessions at the gym preferably with a trainer. I just dont have the self motivation to stick to something like this. However im temped to give this a go on the weekends as i dont train then.

It showing any positive effects? Hard to stick to?

I have been using an a called my fitness pal...maybe worth you looking into as it keeps track of everything you have eaten + exercise you have done.

So you looking to lose some weight going into the new year? Any reason for it or just general fitness or overweight?

Im personally training super hard so i can sit down on xmas day and just stuff my face with bad foods and tons of beer.

Yeah I had completely forgot I had played. Lesson learnt....I hope!

The 7 min app is handy for when i go in to "zombie mode" and it works well for that, plus 7 mins is nothing to sit out of a game.

The last thing I want to do is lose weight, its more for fitness. On my month off I just sit at home all day, usually doing poker stuff and when my gf finishes school (she's a teacher, before you get the wrong idea

we just sit around and watch tv. 7 mins isn't much and its not exactly hard but its better than nothing.
I feel a gym membership will serve me better. What you do actually sound fun (and difficult), its a lot better to have someone there to make you do things!

haha well hopefully you reach your goal by Xmas

One of my worst days today, nothing seemed to go my way, I think its due to the Ego working its way back from a few winning days...I'll need to go through my hand history to see where i was going wrong!! The only reason I'm still in profit is because its rake back Tuesday!!

Started the day of really well 4 bi's up, but then it all came crashing down towards the end! Fish calling a 4X 5-bet shove with 88 v my AKs. Also flopped a straight but lost on the turn to a flush...could you fold the turn with This hand (Weaktight doesn't work well for me, it misses a lot of stuff out like my pre-flop action and flop bets).

Also a question about HUDs. If I download a HUD, can I only use it on the computer i've downloaded it onto? I really need to get one so I can start showing graphs, it will also make reviewing hand histories a lot easier!!

Never mind, I've downloaded PT4 onto an external hard drive
