Check THIS out mate, let me know what you think Smile

@CrazyCookie I watched it yesterday and it was a good intro, well done on getting it out there; just wish I could sound half as sensible is all!

I haven't commented yet because I like to watch them twice and make a note or two before doing so and am a bit not very well today. I'll make the effort and do it later today I promise.

Right, so, played a bit of my C->B(-) game again today for about 900 hands at nl4, so taking a chill pill to do a bit of learning for a while instead and post a couple, if i can find anything interesting that didn't run into quads. Laugh Finding it hard to get paid off but maybe I'm just impatient to get back up the line. Naughty Mal. Blush

Laters.

Laugh Yeah, the first one may be one to watch a few times and come back to as it is more on how to study and improve, the future episodes are going to be pretty fun Smile

Interesting to see you played while sick. I'm off sick today and only donked around with some free money on Virgin lol

Ye I've been a bit 'off' lately but it's not too debilitating as long as I don't rush about, which suits me fine! It gets harder when the mrs isn't feeling well though, which has been the case quite a bit lately to unfortunately. It's all good, we're just getting a bit older and things are beginning to creak a bit is all. Laugh

May roundup
This month has been a bit of a washout profit-wise at least. I'm very good at riding out day after day of crap dealer+play weak sessions so I wont be tilting off stacks any time soon trying to climb out of it quickly, or bemoaning the rate at which the rng is fucking me over either. I can't do that because I'm not good enough to say it hasn't been mostly me; and if I was that good I would know better than to moan about it anyway. Emo

I put some volume in after I got mashed early on and that seems to have helped a bit.
Being a bit ill so often this month has curtailed my efforts somewhat, but, on a positive note, I did get to around 30K hands with a week or so to spare. I was hoping for 40K, but maybe next time. It's a lot easier to play a gazillion hands when you're the crusher than when the crushee! Cheeky

Anyway, looks like a carry over of losses to next month so I'll need to see what I can do about that won't I.

Graph:

Mariana Tench time at the start and never really recovered. Note the mini slope up for the last 4K or so hands, that's me dropped down, quite a turnaround for me. Maybe I should stick to being the bestest nl4 player on the planet, become a celeb and be in the hall of fame. Laugh
Meh, I can do that at nl50 by the end of the year, watch me roll.

Anyway, here's my, 'How to make yourself feel better instantly, graph! No ev line, that's just for masochists. Shake

Yay, happy winner again, gogogo me!

'Nuff waffle, have fun people

Pretty vicious downswing that's for sure but not due to any lack of anything IMO just sometimes when you move up this stuff happens. Good sign is the green line is on the way back up so that gives us some good signs for June!
Posted 8 years ago
@Jon-PokerVIP yes nothing dramatic at all, just that sharp drop at the start and every silver lining brings it's own cloud anyway! Giggle

Speaking of silver linings, this is the last week of the month. Made me feel quite relaxed.

Hardly played today, just not feeling great but got a couple BI up and wont play tonight now.

It's go smash some aliens in Halo 4 instead time.

Looking forward to kicking some ass again in June.

Holy shit that is one epic final week and solid volume also! Lets make June's graph look this way

Hey Mal, nice finish to the month there!

It'll be good to keep your confidence going, even though it's hard to rock you anyway, but we're all human.

Yeah I hope we can all make June a rocking month! Keep it up and keep it fun!

Greetings fellow demigods and thanks for the fistpumps @Grocker6

@Jon-PokerVIP unfortunately the games have been more swingy than a swingy thing in a swingy thing shop and June started with a slump.

but, without more ado, let me introduce you to my new friend, namely this months first winning session - and it happened just today! Yay, (clap)(clap) Thank you thank you friends, thank you you are so, so kind.

Been getting destroyed last few days so this was uplifting indeed, I just wish I could iron out the troughs and peaks crap a bit. I know, I'll cheat and post my lifetime again, ye, neat. Angel

So, got my self some confidence boots so it's onward and upward and get this nl20 monkey off my back. Dull

In other waffle, I got a free 10 day licence for Poker Snowie (thanks to @CrazyCookie for the info and super videos on the subject) and took a peek over the weekend. Well, let's face it, with all the stoploss crap I had plenty of time. I thought about subscription but haven't the money anymore, we gotz hacked I think.
Anyway, I'm not so sure I could make more profit by using it on the games I play in, versus the no-foldem-holdem gang and mob-handed pots nearly every hand, but I may get some use out of it and I haven't given it a chance yet, it's only the trial and I'm a noob.

Right, I'm off to see if I can take a screenshot of my top set aces holding up, catch you later.

tl;dr I got Snowie and so far this month has been emotional.

Greetings fellow demi-gods, the first week is over and down about 20BI including last months makeup, gets a bit disheartening when things aren't going so great in daily life as well, but I'm a tough git so I'll bounce out of it soon enough. Plenty of stickability, that's what you need in this game. Cheeky

Thing is, the last time someone said to keep my chin up and put my best foot forward I feel down a manhole ...

On a more positive note, I got a video review from the one and only w34z3l, courtesy of the mighty @Jon-PokerVIP who has been watching my graph slip-slide away nearly as fast as my confidence,

Kinda tough lately, people just do not want to get their money in the middle, often even when they have the goods. It makes for a long hard day when maybe just one or two iffy calls or bad runouts and it's bye bye session in the last 15 minutes or so.

Here's a nice wtf by way of illustration,.

$0.05/$0.10 No Limit Holdem Prima
6 Players

Blinds 0.5BB/1BB6
UTGHero $143BB
UTG+1 $186.9BB
CO $117.6BB
D $100BB
SB $179.9BB
BB $101.5BB
Preflop
6$1.5BBHero is UTGAA
Hero raises to 3BB, 3 folds, SB calls 2.5BB, 1 fold
Flop
2$7BBK64
SB checks, Hero bets4.5BB, SB calls 4.5BB
Turn
2$16BBJ
SB checks, Hero bets7.5BB, SB calls 7.5BB
River
2$31BB7
SB checks, Hero checks
Final Pot $31BB
SB shows KK Hero shows AA
SB wins $29.5BB (net +$15BB)
Hero lost$15BB

Spidey senses going off again or I'd have bet harder, didn't expect that though.

The good thing is it keeps one focused, because if not ...see above. The last two days have been just like that, up 1 or 2BI then down to scratch, then up, then back down, ending in a small loss of a BI or so and loooonggg periods of getting nothing or being 3bet to death - but only if you raise light though!

Having said all that, my video review was when I was at a very low ebb, a perfect time for it. I really didn't think I could play that bad anymore; w34z3l called it a train wreck which, if it wasn't so accurate might actually have been funny - he seemed to think it was anyway! Blush

I made another vid of 4X nl10 and 2X nl20 after taking some notes, played good - I think(!) - and tried some bet sizing exploits. Peruse at your leisure unless you have a life, it 's 30 minutes and the sound didn't record for whatever reason; shame, I was so entertaining to! Noob. Doh!

So, game back on track and confidence a lot better after yesterday's session. Now, what's next; oh ye, try winning that always helps. Tit.

I've yet to watch your review video but really looking forward to it! Nice of @Jon-PokerVIP to help you out!

I've found that reducing the number of tables I play makes a big difference in winrate! I know that you staking dudes have to meet a hand target, is there leeway for playing 3-4 tables as opposed to 6?
Posted 8 years ago
Woah, that QJ fold OTT 28 seconds in hurt! Easiest call ever!!!
Posted 8 years ago
Dislike the river donk with the flush v the same guy at 2:22 you may as well turn your hand face up. He now can't bluff and he probably doesn't call much worse than you.
Posted 8 years ago
Not liking all this 50% bets! Gotta go bigger in nearly every spot!
Posted 8 years ago
Kq you double barrel in the T935 then when the gin bluff card comes in you give up?! He folds all 9x and TX to a 80% bet, he can have many ax as they would be FD which he now can't have or at/a9 which isn't Manu combos.

Bet bigger OTF OTT and then again OTR, your line letsbhim get to SD with any pair and win
Posted 8 years ago
QQ 6:30 why so small OTT? You're betting for value and missing 2-4 bb here
Posted 8 years ago
And then the fold..... You are wayyyyyy to scared people make flushes every time the 3rd suited card hits the board!
Posted 8 years ago
K2s 6:30 bet bigger!! And that river is probably the nut worst for you to bluff, not getting enough folds.
Posted 8 years ago
I swear if I see another 50% fucking bet I am jumping out the office window
Posted 8 years ago
AQ SB v CO 9:50 much prefer a 3b you make so much more money that way ap I'm really hoping you don't fold OTR... God dammit
