So out of interest what are people's opinions on the hsdb's being made public?

It's certainly an interesting talking point. As Doug said I think it could potentially put off some of the bad high stakes players through fear of further losses/ ridicule but overall seems like a good thing.

From what I read the opt out option was only available as of 2013 anyway? So it's not like this information has not been available before. A big dent to some players egos no doubt but the truth none the less.
