NL4 9hJh

Posted 8 years ago

Anon no hud, not much info except a limper.

Yes, nl4, got smashed lately so good chance to get some things sorted out.

Thought this was at least a little interesting with a limper. My default would be squeeze this but I have pos and it looked so pretty ... Blush

Flop: So I smashed this board and flatted to try keeping the limper in. HU I would raise and never fold.

Turn: Bink. Obviously prefer a Q but same thought here, keep the fish in or raise it up. With 2 opponents in I could raise and at least one would come along on a board that hits everybody nearly.

So is keeping the fish in here good or stop being greedy and messing about and get on with it?

Thanks.

I think raising is probably best here. If villain has Ax he bets bigger and everything else doesn't put more money in anyway. Make it like 23bb so he feels priced in to calling with a FD when in reality the only has 7 outs and that is if he has kxhh or qxhh- pretty tough when when have jh 9h.

I'd raise the turn. Especially deep as this vs CO. You've got the nuts and he can call with worse easily. Why do you want the Q over this card? Then you don't have the nuts? Because it gives him more 2 pairs that can call off maybe I suppose.

As for sizing I probably go larger than Cookie as I'm scared of getting outdrawn for cheap so instead of making sure they pay a bad price I lose value by getting too many folds!

Given the fact that it's NL4 the only thing that interests me once I hit the nuts (with a re-draw too! easy game, easy life as they say) is pot management so I'd just bomb raise this. You don't want to go to over the top but since people undersize their bets at micro stakes anyway feel free to go close to the pot in spots like this.

I'd raise the flop here.

We're deep, and our Jh blocks the better flush draws nicely. What to do if villain insists on trying to get it in pre I'm not totally sure, but as Crazycookie says, he probably always bets bigger with Ax so would do the same with a set or two pair.
