However when you get 4bet shoved, you can exclude AA from his range. Even KK is strange play. Most of the time you will be againts AK, 99-QQ and some random bluffs.

If you have decent bankroll management, I believe you have to take those flips.

All depends on the player whether this is a call or not. As a rule of thumb I would not play for stacks with JJ at these stakes against a UTG+1 raise.

As a default I would be folding JJ to a shove, I'd call pre too as I don't want to play for stacks.

As I've said before. Unless I have some good info that opponent does this with crap then it'll be a fold. I just don't think these calls work well in these specific games in my experience. Also vs MP when he ships with 2 left to act it's not pretty for us.

Unlike some, I'm happy to 3bet pre as I've just found that not being multiway helps us a lot with JJ. And happy to fold to 4bet when it happens in NL5z.

The one thing I think is that these games are pretty easy to beat, and I don't wanna ever make it sound like they are not. Postflop you can REALLY beat up on opponents and they make tons of mistakes and nitty folds. But when it comes to this one thing about getting it in preflop vs unknown or avg opponent here. They are much tighter than they should be in that respect so we definitely need to keep that in mind.

Well, i shoved because a poker friend was raised all in by him, 2 minutes before my hand. I thought that he maybe was on tilt or spewy.

Ok well if you know he shows up with things like that then that's ok.

This is even thin to call against an unknown if you have QQ or AK. If they never bluff and only ever shove QQ+ AK then you're losing money even before we factor in the rake.

If you have an inkling that he's bad then the squeeze for value is fine because we expect him to call with worse, but stacking JJ in general at these stakes is rarely going to be good.

If you have seen him 3bet jamming hands like QTo then this is a snap call and it is not even remotely close. Against an unknown opponent I think this should probably be a call more often than not as it is not uncommon to see AK or desperation jams with lower PP's that do not know how to proceed. It's one of these weird spots where I would be advocating a fold for stacks with JJ it the play had gone normally, i.e. 3bet/standard 4bet but vs the jam I just call it off and take a note afterwards.
