Anon,not been there long.

Just a thought about the turn really. Is there room for a raise or just call down? I called because I was freerolling the turn anyway, but just thought I'd ask as I was a little undecided.

Thanks.

Just call here. If he re raises I expect you to be behind most of the time. Calling here keeps his bluffs in his range.

With the price you are getting on turn and river,
Its almost never a fold unless you have some specific reads.

I think you played the hand fine.

If you're thinking about a thin value raise then I would prefer the flop rather than the turn. You could make it really small and then bet the turn for value in position, allowing you to check behind on the river or get away if he donks out and bombs it. If he comes back over the top of a flop raise then obviously you're done.

Thank you very much everybody.

@Turlock I think you must have bigger wotsits than I do, I couldn't raise the flop there, not brave enough! Thanks, its' not something I would usually do so gives me something to look into. Smile

I'd try to find a raise somewhere in here.

His flop line indicates he doesn't really know what he's doing so from that point on his range can have a ton of hands including draws and 1-pair hand.

I think flatting the flop is good.

I'm probably flatting the turn as well but I don't think a raise is out of the question. When really sucks though is if raise and then get shoved one since even though you have a pair+draw you equity against 2 pair or better is very poor with only 1 card to come.

When he throws in this tiny river bet I would raise, probably on the smaller size to about 20. I just don't see any big value hand taking this sizing at all and with a small raise size he'll be tempted to look you up with the random Qx or other pairs he might make this play with. Had be bet larger I'd say call river and nice hand but against that size I think you're almost always ahead and you can go for more value.

I could not raise here as would be worried about getting shipped on so would take the call down line also. The small river bet does however make me believe I am ahead so I guess this is where @Komododragonjesus would get more value than me.

So, need to pay closer attention and actually act on the information. Doh! Thanks people, like these replies a lot.

Raise bigger pre punish loose blinds for calling wide. Calling turn is good .... If we would hate to be raised off our equity then raising is bad. As stated, it also keeps in all his bluffs, and now you have gin cards to hit. On the river, his value range to call a raise is better than AQ so just call his betting range. Sometimes yes KQ QT etc but also 22 QJ etc. The min check raise often looks off as I always think that people would be raising more to charge for turns as they are scared of being outdrawn... sometimes though they are just clicking to get money in and they dont want you to fold. It is player dependent.

Hope this helps Yes
