NL20 AsKh

Anon v an ubernit 8/3/0 after around 200h.

I think this is a mistake to call this even in position. There are weak players still to act and the bb can shove. The shove from SB wouldn't be a problem but then I doubt utg is folding given those numbers. Think I'd have to fold out my AKo then.

Postflop, I have As, the Ac is out there and so I'm most likely either drawing dead or splitting, the latter more unlikely given the speed utg if firing out with.

So I vote fold preflop versus an obvious utg range, what do you guys think?

I folded turn anyway, my if in doubt get out kicked into gear. still think pre was optimistic of me.

Thanks.

WHAT?!

200 hands still isn't a lot, and I would still expect a nit to have AQ and AJ in their range.

Even as played I'm calling the turn because all those combos of AQ/AJ might still be betting for value. These 8/3 player types might be trying to stay out of trouble by only playing premium hands but they're generally still bad and make out of character plays.

As for pre flop, AK is a fine call, don't think about folding because of the danger of getting squeezed.

Yeh we have to call call and call here as we block aces and there isn't much else villain can have apart from sets and two pairs. Villain will be value betting worst aces on the turn and even bluffing sometimes.

We can definitely call turn villains range is not defined yet. Lots of worst As he could be betting. A river call is interesting I prob fold giving him lots of credit.

I'm fine with the flat preflop, not fine with a fold that's way too tight even if you think UTG is a nit. If bb squeezes I'm very ok with that as well.

Postflop I think folding here is a pretty big mistake. What hands are you worried about? If he's that tight then he likely doesn't have stuff like A5 A2 55 22 so a strong betting range for him would be AA, strong Ax and flush draws and you're doing incredibly well against all of them except the 1 combination of AA.

I call turn and call most rivers. Clubs and Qx Jx are pretty poor rivers but other than that you should be doing great.

@Komododragonjesus thank you, I'm still trying things out but but this partiular kind of situation is still tricky.

Thanks again.

Hey buddy, for me this is just a call. I like the preflop, but we're literally putting him on AA here. A card dead nit over 200 hands might look like this in the stats. I think we can be chopping a lot, but unless specifically a Q comes on the river then I'm happy to call down.
