I think having a three bet only strategy from the SB is a pretty substantial mistake, this hand is a prime example of it. AJs is strong enough here to warrant a flat call, by three betting it vs this position we are turning a strong hand into a bluff which is not ideal. Offsuit AJ I think is OK to use as a three bet here but the suited varieties I think will play better as a call.

When we get four bet then vs this position I think calling here is a spew. We will be dominated here the vast majority of the time by AK/QQ/KK/AA type hands. While we are getting the right price to call against the majority of these hands individually, it's going to create an extremely awkward situation post flop when we do improve as we still will not know where we stand. Reverse implied odds will work very much against us in this type of situation.

Against an unknown UTG raiser I fold this from the SB using JTs-87s as my bluff range. My results were much better when I stopped 3 betting these "trouble" aces OOP versus EP opens. FWIW it's close and I do call it when MP opens.

As played once you get 4 bet it's a 5 bet bluff or fold.You're going to get into kicker problems playing this OOP in this spot.
