Versus a 76/2/2 player having fun on Anon. Preflop very passive/stationey, postflop some random stuff going on.

Normally I might flat this flop raise but given this player has gone with all sorts of draws, top pair, nothing at all (possibly as a bluff(!)) I don't know if my buddy here has a draw, 2P, str, whatever, they're so random.

I put it through equilab and got 44% but that's worse case if I'm right and if I add in some PDDS (which was more than possible) then it gets much closer, so maybe just go with it on the flop?

Yes, I know I don't 'need' to go for stacks here but everybody else were nut-peddling regs anyway and I don't know if I get paid off or not if I hit the turn. I fI don't I'll likely be facing a shove anyway.

So, shove/call/fold? I'm fairly confident the latter would be too weak.

I think I'd call here. If you brick turn and he jams then get away. I think you will get paid if you hit a fair % so would see it for cheap I think.

Multiway though with a div in the pot I think I might check this flop though sometimes, see a card for free as currently you have nothing and you'll still get money out of them if you hit. They'll call one street with any pair probably so I'd make sure I made a hand first unless you are going to barrel off. How do you know he was 72/2 if it was anon?

If we call we find it very hard to get value from both our straight and flushes. Villain can also have a hand such as 78d or KQd which we ideally want to get him all in with straight away so we don't hit bricks and miss value or worse us getting bluffed.

@thetallpaul , I get current session stats with PT4 and we had around 300h and a LOT of action postflop from our budy here.

Given your published stats of villain i would say you're up against a set or a flopped straight. More likely a set. Don't mind folding to be honest versus this guy, you'll have plenty of other opportunities.
Or call and get paid when you hit. Fold when you miss.

Although villain is a classic bad passive player, I would still get this in due to how much equity we have.

Passive players can still make huge mistakes by overvaluing any overpair here, and if he's playing any two suited then he can have quite a few 4x with no showdown value.

@Bassy, I don't have stats after the table closes, they reset. Similarly if the player sits out and leaves then PT4 doesn't keep the stats. Sorry.

Thanks everybody, I went with the agressive go for stacks move after a think. This is still a new limit for me so getting used to all this 40e pots etc still!

I don't think going for stacks can be terrible vs this player type as they can sometimes show up with FD's that you dominate on top of their value hands.
On top of this, guys like him can also raise things like 77, or 88 on these boards. I've seen it a few times.

Gotta say though, this board does hit a lot of limp called small pairs for sets, but also a fold wouldn't be bad.

I think both choices are ok really. One thing I've been thinking about these guys lately though is... we don't always need to get ourselves into these racey spots with them when we will so often find ourselves having them in crushed spots. So... just a thought there.
