Should I ever fold the trips here when facing a river raise?

Villain stats: 44/19 only 16 hands though.

For a min-raise you can't fold against a 44vpip. They could have worse 9x hands here. If they shipped over your river bet then yes I would fold.

Thanks Harvie, that makes a lot of sense.

Dumb spot. I'm with @Harvie. I guess I'd call given the raise size though I wouldn't be very happy about it because it's typically a value heavy line. It's worth noting though that there are no worse 9x that he can have since we're playing 999J8 and therefore chopping or behind any other 9x.

Vs a min raise there is nothing we can do even though we feel we must be beat. Problem is we block 67, 7 10 and have a 9. We are getting insane odds and bad players are prone to do dumb things.

Welcome BTW Smile

I would have check/called the turn and taken a close look at the river because I'm a nit with the worst 9x. Blush Not folding most times, just being cautious multiway.

@Komododragonjesus oh yeah... missed that one too.

I guess I'm always beat there.. given the odds calling to see occasional bluffs and dumb moves might be ok.

Thank ya'll, great feedback. Smile

It's close, but I also couldn't fold the river given the limit just because the spazz factor should be relatively high. Recreational player can show up here with some random stuff. Oh and once you see the showdown definitely make a betsizing note.
