Hey guys... I think the play preflop here is normal.
Obviously the flop we call with top pair, but when we get a check on the turn... do we just bet out here? Or would you suggest a more pot control line? It'd suck to get a x/r here and do you think guys will x/c with JJ and such?

I think betting is good here.His 3bet range should include TT+,suited broadways,AQo,AKo type hands.I think you shouldn't fear from getting check/raised here.If this happens you can find the fold usually if you believe villain doesn't x/r often that hands you beat.With a bet on the turn we can get fold from hands actually we beat but we protect our hand against over cards.Also your range should have some TT-QQ hands I assume so betting makes sense in that case.

He's close to full stack, playing pretty wide so far, and I have a nice playable hand IP for not the heftiest of prices. As far as I was aware a PF call was pretty normal. I think if he was much lower stacked than this at all then sure I'd fold based on that but seems ok here if we take into account that he didn't make it 1e or 1.10e as you would often see enough?

This is not a fold pre! In position 89s is absolutely fine! I normally check the turn here, sure we give him a chance to hit his 12% equity but he is not calling much if anything worse v a bet.

Well, I use weazel's range and according to them it's a clear fold MPvBL and it's even a fold CO vs 3bet IP. As I said, against this smaller sizing I'd prob call in game myself, but I'm not getting a boner about it.

I'm with MG on this one. MP vs 3bet I think this is normally a fold. Small sizing especially IP I could make the call but I usually wouldn't. As played I like the line and I'd be bet folding the turn. Half pot, maybe even a pinch less I suppose. You might get called down by TT or something but fold out loads of equity and I doubt the nuts is checking here to induce as you have loads of overpairs in your range for him to target.

V a tight 3betor I will fold, but v a fishy guy I call this all day long. our implied odds when we make top two, or our draws is much bigger than v a reg.

I don't see anything wrong with folding this pre as a default especially at micros but then again I'm not a GTO-pokersnowie-wizard. That being said vs. this particular fella I'd be super happy to make a bunch of slight mistakes pre in order to allow him to make big ones post flop.

As played I'd probably bet around 2$.

Ideally looking to get 20:1 on the 60c call. Can you do this? Otherwise it is likely a -ev spot long term to be calling this heads up even with position.

People seem overly attached to suited connectors. If you are not taking spots to bluff with them, which likely you are not as commonly as you should be, they are simply not profitable from a raw equity standpoint.

Ok, firstly, should be a fold PF as some correctly pointed out. It probably wouldn't be a horrific call, but keep in mind that speculative hands really need the full or deep stacks. While our opponent is probably fishy here, he doesn't have a good stack-depth, meaning it's going to be super hard to make this a profitable call. We just don't make enough money when we flop big.

Second thing is that defending preflop is rarely to do with equity, so it really doesn't matter in the slightest how much equity 89s has on various flops. Assuming we are not playing ultra short-stacked poker, the playability is a big component in our decision making. This is why (for example), we defend hands like 9Ts on the BTN vs a 3bet but fold higher equity hands such as A8o.

As played we should be underbetting the turn for protection.

I would have folded this one preflop a lot of the time. From looking round the table it looks quite likely that I would get into this exact scenario versus SB.

I think bet turn anyway since we got there, but my standard of 1/2 pot or a little less is just the way I like to make betting mistakes still.
