Iso a limper pre. Normally I go 4x there so I think must be misclick. Check the flop, but could be a bet. Turn is nice and he donks, don't see any value in raising but river when he checks I think I can get a call from worse 2 pair or maybe some Ax even Qx if he doesn't believe me. Check raise river always the nuts though? J9? or slowplayed flush? Line is just so odd.

I tend not to isolate the worst of the offsuit Ax.

I would bet the flop as limpers are generally bad and can continue with any diamond at all. They're also passive and you'll get raised less often.

As played I would bet bigger on the river. Mostly he bets his nutted range himself and can a ton of worse Ax combos which will check call. Once he raises though I would fold. I just don't see him doing it with worse.

On this kind of board texture, I much prefer taking my value streets on the flop and turn rather than on the turn and river, especially in position. That way you cause villain to make bigger mistakes with draws and you can buy yourself a free river.

Preflop: I like the iso here for sure, we should be iso raising very wide vs limpers as we can be very confident they are a weaker player and we will have position on them for the hand.

Flop: I quite like the check here, we gain a lot of extra value on the turn on river from villains single pair hands by checking this back and we also pot control in the situations where we are behind. Villain can definitely be limp calling stronger Ax here.

Turn: Betting here is mandatory now, I presume your plan was to bet here without hitting the 3 as well which is good. I think your sizing is definitely too small here though, I’d be going around 50c here and expecting to get called by a lot of single pair hands.

River: Same thought process as the turn here, we have to be value betting but I would be going larger here. $1.00-$1.10 seems about right to me. Villain can get very sticky with single pairs after you have checked back the flop and we want to be maximising out value against these hands.

As played we cannot fold this river due to the small sizings you have chosen. Villain will have some worse two pairs, QT fits quite nicely here I think, and can also have missed flush draws. We are going to be beat here on occasion for sure but I don’t think we should be folding. A sidenote though, if we had gone with the larger sizings that I suggested previously then we would have a pretty easy fold as the pot would be bigger and villain would be far less likely to be raising worse here for value/raising as a bluff with missed diamonds.

Iso should be fine. 4x is good.

The flop check back will not be the highest EV line. The hand is simply too vulnerable, making betting the highest EV even if it's a little bit of a grey area how well we do against his continuing range. Important to keep in mind that we gain a lot if he ever folds something like a PP with a weak flush-draw.

As played probs raise/fold turn.

As played bet/fold river is good.
