I don't like shoving if he's passive, they most likely have an over pair. I just call and see a turn, like raising more if we were OOP or if they were short stacked.

Calling in position is much better vs a passive player. This guy will allow you to realise your equity cheap most of the time, and never leave you in the position where if the money goes in from you shoving, you're always behind.

On most tables I'd fold the KJ preflop versus a 'normal' utg open anyway, but then I'm a nit.

Hard to get called by worse if you jam it here, I'd go for call and see what the rng brings me on the turn, but still not getting too excited if I hit.

When the passive station bets out he likes his hand so be wary, fold equity is very low against a probable strong range and when we shove here we'd rather they folded most of their continuing range, which happens less often in these situations given opponent's info.
