Whos a lucky nit then?

3bettor looked tight but couldn't fold so flat hoping to see flop IP. 4bet is not ideal as his range might not even be QQ+ AK given action. I'd sort of prefer a jam as more AK in that.

The flat though stinks of AA. Stupid move that got lucky or make sense?

I like your call of the 3 bet given how tight MP looks already, but once a loose looking UTG 4 bets and MP doesn't look to stack off I would just get it in.

I'm not one of those balance-nuts, but... this play is so transparent I really dislike it in a 100bb deep cash game environment. It's hard to go wrong given the strength of your hand, but I think I want to have some cold 4bet bluffs here vs. certain opponents (though probably not a 15/10 guy) and if I do I can't really flat with the hand as strong as KK.

I think trying to hero fold KK preflop 100BB's deep is going to be a mistake in the long run and that the EV of just 4bet getting it in will be better here than the way you played it.

As Matt mentioned if you are going to have any 4bet bluffs then we need to be 4betting our strong value hands too. It’s just one of those spots, if you are against AA then you shrug your shoulders and move on. When stacks are deeper we can definitely start considering making these types of folds in these spots but in this spot I am always 4betting the initial 3bet then stacking off, even if it ends up as a multiway all in. People do dumb things all the time so it’s not like we will always be against AA here.

An important thing to note in these spots is that 99.9% of the pool is also going to be stacking off in these types of situations so it’s one of those spots where it will always balance out in the long run. Where we make money from these games is the non-cooler hands where we can win a significant amount more or lose a significant amount less than the average player in the pool.

You have to be reeeeaaaaally sure villain has AA to make a fold here.

UTG can be bluffing here but he can also be 4betting worse for value. I would interpret MP's call of the 4bet as cautious rather than a slowplay and that's reasonable since you overcalled his 3bet. The hand sample showing he's tight is only over 19 hands too so I wouldn't rely on that too heavily. With this much money in the pot I would jam where you folded.

Yeah just ship it in.

Turlock is our resident FR expert at folding KK, and if he says its a ship it's definitely a jump-up-and-down-fist-pump snap ship.
