Anon v weak reg-ish kinda fit/f stuff.

Been experimenting with this lately, these guys just can't resist a stab on the river, same at nl10.

If I bet that board and villain plays chk.c I'm no wiser. If villain folds I get no more. I fI chk they seem to like taking a stab and I can catch a few bbs for a bluff. Sometimes I run into something but that's ok. On a board like that BB is going to have an set/overpair or nothing most times.

My thinking is a I get something out of it even though it's not the standard raise/cbet/villain folds stuff. Yes I can get caught out now and again but then they'll bet out so it's easy game again. Obviously I pick my villain and boards out and don't just randomly play bluff-catcher.

Thoughts?

I think this is actually ok. Sometimes we'll come across something like 66 or 22 (maybe 66 bets turn though).

But this can't be too bad overall to catch with the A high.

As for betting flop? Hmm I think the flop might get called by a few hands like 9T, JT. And PPs. And a few turns help them.

I think the check backs are fine.

Looks good Pwll. NH. In single raised pots I like a check back on these types of boards as he can call you with loads of stuff that beats you. Check back and either hit, or bluff catch a small bet with nut unpaired hand. Annoying when he flips like 55 or something but on this run out he either had you on the flop and you cost yourself nothing by not betting it or you win.

Like the check on the flop, but it doesn't mean we're giving up just yet.

As played I think the call can be ok. He's unlikely to bet his small pocket pairs for value, and would almost always bet his good hands on the turn.

Another option is to make a 1/3 pot bet on the turn for protection once he checks to us twice. We can prevent him from realising any equity he has with random overcards, and if he's sticky we can get a bit of thin value.

@Turlock that's a good point, hadn't thought of that really. Noted and thank you.

Thanks all, good stuff all round. Smile

I think calling the river is totally fine. You should have decent amount of showdown value given the action on previous streets and the board texture.
