Is this a single table tournament or a multitable SnG?

It's been a while since I played these but CO vs BB for 10BB with 6 players left (at least) is never going to be far out. You got the money in good, and I would expect a villain shoving KTo to be shoving many worse Ax combos as well

It was a single table, the BB struck me as kinda loose but he was running well obviously.
But I'm very new to poker. But I thought my AJo was a pretty good and I was pretty certain that the BB was going to defend.

But I don't know if it was worth it because now I'm out of the tournament but with 10BB left I didn't think that I was going to get a better spot.

Also I think I had a very nitty image up until that point so I was rather surprised that he shoved with KTo

Not a tournament expert but to me it looks like a fairly standard stack off. You're probably making a pretty big mistake if you're not going all-in with AJ on this stack size. Also, while it's not good to be results oriented, the fact that you're playing in the environment where people have KTo in their range for going over the top makes this decision even easier.

AJo is a good hand but 10bb deep I would go all in rather than min raising. Seeing that the bigger stack is on hero's right I think that using our stack to put pressure on the blinds would be the way to go.

In this spot, if we get a caller and brick the flop we get in a pretty gross spot, especially since we give good odds to a fishy BB to call with a very wide range. Here the play is fine but at this dept I think shoving would be optimal.

Alright more aggression preflop, thanks!

At 10bb deep you should be looking to play mainly shove or fold preflop. You don't have enough of a stack to risk it in small chunks. Giving the blinds good odds to call a raise will both reduce your expected value with your hand and shoot variance through the roof. If you raise small and get reraised you should never really be folding this short also so just shipping pre makes the most sense. As played definitely call the raise.

Like Komodo said, shove or pre at anything under 10BB, really 15Bb tbh.

If you're new to tournaments/SnG and think it's going to be your thing, you HAVE to know push/fold charts. And by know, I mean print out and have in front of you. Wink They are an excellent start, just don't use them mechanically.

I have them now Laugh same with an explanation of what I need to do at what phase in the tournament.
Here is the thing I use, if there's something missing be sure to post it here on send me a dm, so I can built on it.

Thansk for the advice guys.

Absolutely never planning on folding here.

The standard is certainly just to open shove here with your kind of stack size but I definitely don't hate the min raise. In order to cash here you are realistically going to have to get at least one double up with so many people remaining so getting all of the chips in the middle with AJ is a pretty good result IMO. If villain is shoving as light as KT then he will almost certainly be shoving a lot of Ax here, particularly of the suited variety, and the majority of these hands you are crushing so trying to invite a resteal attempt here can't be bad I feel. I think it is not all that likely that we get a caller but there is the possibility of some awkward spots post flop with this line if this does happen which we will need to deal with, but we will almost certainly have position for the hand in this situation which will held massively.

It should be noted though that if we were at a different situation in the tournameny, i.e. The money bubble, then there is a much larger incentive to reduce our variance so open shoving would certainly be my preference there.

A min raise works great here if it induces a shove but any flop which doesn't give us top pair is tricky to play.
I'm not a fan of risking any of our remaining 8 blinds to c-bet a dry flop assuming we get a caller and don't hit.
At small stakes, this shallow and against a loose BB I think shoving is definitely the better play.
