non v quite agressive, but mostly tgraightforward TAG, nothing fancy.

My opponent isn't bluffing very often when betting that big on turn so I thought it was go for it or fold time.

Was my play too agressive on that board or would maybe just call down be better?
Against what looks like a no frills TAG I could be drawing dead already.

Thanks.

Very interesting hand.

I am kind of clueless but I think that bet/calling flop and ch/folding turn is the best play here. Would get really interesting if you spiked a King/club on the turn. Stats would help a lot!

If we think that our villain is never bluffing here then ch/shoving turn is awful.

Just get it all in on the flop we are never going to be that big of a dog unless vs the nut flush. Villain will often have a combo, bare flush draw or a set. All of these we do pretty fine vs. You should run our hand vs villains range through an EV calculator

I'm not happy getting this in on the flop 138bb deep. I think you did the right thing just calling.

People tend to get carried away on monotone boards because of the chance that they might be getting bluffed by a bare Ax draw. I would expect villain to check behind on the turn most often with Ac as well. Made flushes and sets will show up here a lot.

I'm sure many will disagree but because of stack depth I would make a tight fold on the turn.

@StratoMan , I'm thinking at the time for those stacks getting the money would only generate a fold or I'd more likely run into Axc or some SC like 78cc, that kind of thing.

@Turlock I think I agree both with the flop and turn suggestions, it just seems out of character for an 'honest' reg to be doing this with a bare Ac, maybe AcQx?

@totaldonk , yes I think my turn play was poor as well, I made too many bad plays that session. Sad

All-in-all I think my play was too heavy handed as well.

Thank you guys, much appreciated as ever of course.

Hey, after thinking about this hand. I feel we should get it in on the flop.

My reasons are, I think if he has a set then we still draw pretty well with our K high FD, also occasionally AQ might wanna go big protecting the hand from FD's.
On top of that sometimes we are vs A high FDs that we currently beat such as AcQx, and on top of that if we end up sadly vs a flopped flush, we can out draw.

Does that sound like it makes some sense? Just my thought's.

I put in equilab for this and, vs lots of suited connectors that flop a flush (87toQJ). And AcQx plus sets of 55 and 22 we are 46.38% to 53.62% equity.

Take out the sets and we are pretty much the other way around.

So not trying to sound like an equity expert or anything hah, but thought I'd put the numbers out there so take from that what you will.

TBH someone should take that program away from me soon or I might become a nerd...

Hi Mal, i am very like your line and i am sure that i play same this hand, your K club convert you hand in one hand good to stack in this situation, maybe villain has AcQ or AcX and want play hand aggr because have good equity, in turn i never call in this situation i prefer raise vs players ramdon/RegAggr or fold vs players nit
