NL50, turn 3BP BvB

Posted 8 years agoEdited 8 years ago

Vs aggro Russian reg I use SB limp strategy on.
His bet vMCB IP 3BP 75 (8), also I suppose he these 3bets wider, so his range is weak.
Flop x/c is the way to go I suppose?
Turn: jam > call > fold?

Do you have any reads on him like they can make moves with air or light draws, when I play Russians they are usually pretty nitty.

I kind of like a shove with our draw but I feel like we can't ever have anything too nutted here as we'd be betting the flop with sets/overpairs and draws. Our limp/RR also looks a bit FOS which makes me think they will call our jam lighter with hands like Qx KJ etc.

The nit in me thinks this is a fold without further reads on the player.

Think we can get him to fold some better hands like Qx and Kx with c/r. After playing c/c flop and c/r turn when everything hits our line looks super strong AA,KK, AK,QQ, JT and maybe some flushes. If we dont get him to fold we still have tons of EQ.

I'm not sure we can convince villain that we have anything other than QQ or bluffs. He's going to expect us to be c betting KK+ JTs and flush draws on the flop the vast majority of the time.

I'm sure we do have some fold equity but I doubt it's a lot making me want to just give up.

Fold is out of the question here. With the clubs being outs and all the T's too we have 12outs = 24% EQ if we are behind. We are getting 3:1 in pot odds so we need 25% to make the call if we just fold all misses, never have the best hand and win only when we hit. With the implied odds added to this fold is by far the worst option of the 3.

This is pretty much my thought process 1:1. I did jam and got a quick fold as expected.

Thanks everyone!
