Not a fan of the turn bet, what do we achieve with that sizing? I feel we fold worse and are only called by better (okay a fd out there) , I'd most likely be x-f the turn, calling if the bet is really small.

if I am to bet the turn, I'd make it much smaller then we did, expecting to get shoved on quite a bit by every Ax and we can get away cheaper.

What we achieve is that we can credibly rep an Ace and this is the sizing we would use with an A! He can't have any A's really apart from top two! We need to think about these situations in terms of ranges not the specific hand we hold! If we check turn we allow him to bet his entire range profitably! Check calling a small turn bet is absolutely awful as it turns our hand face up and he is just going to own us on the river! Betting smaller is exactly the same! What Ax can he credibly have that you expect to shove the turn plus he doesn't jam any Ax one pair hands!

I agree with your argument, but wonder if check-raise may be a solution as well. When he decides to float on you, you could turn your Queens into a bluff, wrapping AJ, AA or JJ and get hands like AK, AQ or so to fold and scare flush draws away from the idea to turn it into a bluff on the river if no spade hits. If he floats really big or even shoves nonetheless, i may fold because flush draws is the best you can hope for but most of the possible flush draws contain an ace.

Opponent can have AJ, ATs, A2s A3s A4s A5s, 66, JJ.

I just think a lot of his calls can contain an Axs. I don't think I that your turn bet is bad to be honest. I just think a slightly smaller sizing would be better. Players often think it means we're milking them anyway so I don't worry about getting x/r too often.

To be honest. I think knowing the opponent is the key to this hand. I take it it's an anon game?

We have a range advantage here in the terms that we have stronger hands than him and we want to bet the turn as often as possible. We will have more QQ+ and Ax then him when we have 3bet and cbet flop. His range is more likely to be 6x,77-TT and lots of Jx.

So we want to bet the turn with a high frequency since we get lots of folds and that makes us tons of money.

Think we should bet most Ax and the good bluffs ofc. I sometimes bet the QQ,KK hands to bc we still beat his range with them and can VB, and I want as many VB's as possible in my range since that makes me able to bluff more and pick up the pot. When we get shoved on (this will happen rarely) I think we have a very easy fold with the bottom of our value range QQ,KK and we have many better hands to call it off with that protects our range, JJ AA,AJ and Asxs, AK(?).

Then what you need to think about is to have a balanced check range too. One that can c/c c/f and c/r. I think having these hands like QQ,KK and sometimes the weakest of Ax in my c/c range. Its not the end of the world if it goes c/c either since we can then make a profitable VB on most rivers with hands that can most likely only bet 2 streets no matter what.

for the c/r i would choose a hand like JJ since its hard to get called and we he will bet most of the hands that calls and just fold the other hands thats drawing dead no matter what.

I like the turn barrel on the ace. It's a great card for us to bluff, and we don't expect him to fold Jx TT 99 etc.

Once we bet twice if he calls I expect to be able to check fold the river and still see a showdown a lot. A lot of 20 NL players will only go for two streets with AK here so if he floated you with AK AQ I doubt he's going to value bet most of the time. If he has AQ he has to be worried we have AK still.
