Anon versus two very loose/passive casuals. Nobody on the table less than 40vpip except nitty me. Smile

I tried to set this up for a push on the river which I managed, but maybe the flop cbet was a little small anyway?

Wasn't too happy with the turn but thought there was enough for villain to draw to and Jx will always call. But should I bet/fold to a shove? Seems reasonable.

River is a blank so I shoved but not entirely confident it was ok, or if bet/call it off was better?

Thanks.

I actually think this is totally fine even though there are apparent full houses. We get called by all Jx and even some Ac will call us. Alternatively we can 1/4 pot the river if we feel villain folds what I mentioned.

Obviously not a great turn card for us, but probs fine overall. As our hands start to get weaker than this we should consider following a less aggressive sizing plan to avoid isolating ourselves vs better, but with QK straight, we should be ok here.

Great stuff, thanks guys.

Can potentially check back the river is our opponent is only going to be calling us with a FH or straight. That's unlikely to be the case for guys with 40+ev though. I think I bet small on the river to get calls from Ax but I'd struggle to fold to a raise as we need to call the chop.

I think this hand is fine. That turn card isn't fun, but I see it as a spot to keep betting. I'd do the same on the river. Yeah there is a potential FH on board but with stats like that he's probably calling so wide that you'd be missing out on big value by not betting. I could be way off, but I'd guess that when he calls his holdings are capped to hands he wants to get to SD like weak 2P. Maybe if he had trips, straight, or FH he'd c/r turn or take a different line, perhaps even raising the wet flop for protection. Fish do know how to slow play hands too, but they might lead river to avoid missing value. Here he just checked and when he calls river I'm hoping I'm not chopping or value town-ing myself against a slow played FH.

PM me with his hand, I'm curious to see what he showed up with Wait

@Cookie Monster villain showed KJ Smile

Question now is, what do I do if villain raises the turn? (gulps)

Tough spot there when a fish shows aggression on the turn. Unless you've got some kind of read about the player types at those tables (i.e. turn or river raises = nuts), I would be hard pressed to fold facing that. I didn't run this through flopzilla or anything, so others might disagree with me here or have a better answer.
