Versus a busy fish.

Just wondered when this happened, do I call it of or fold? villain was aggro enough to push a draw, but if he has say 2pair I made it around 36% equity for my AK.

#1 Am I right about the rquity?

#2 is it a call given the stacks, pot odds etc.?

I'm trying to work these out but odd things get me stuck., I can only do standard stuff yet.

Thanks.

Very interesting hand as we hold the Ad. When they shove 2x pot it's safe to say we are never ahead, nor are we getting odds to draw to our flush. I just fold here for this sizing. If they made it 80% or so I'd be calling and shoving diamond rivers myself.

Think having the Ace of diamond actually made it easier for us to fold.
We are rarely rarely ahead hence we cant really call unless we have enough odds to hit our flush to win. ( expect like 7 outs)

Pre flop I'm making it 5bb as standard vs 1 limper. Bloat the pot right away with your premium hand.

Flop and turn seem simple enough calls.

River I'm definitely folding. Limpers will have all manner of flushes here and even badly played sets.

Well played assuming you folded. The only thing I'd change is higher cbet sizing on the flop.

Hi Mal vs fish i prefer jam flop, vs min raise and without position, i prefer make re-raise/jam, is a danger flop and we have the part high of our range, we need extract value vs worse hands or vs fishes

you think that this fish make limp/call with 66? because 99/KK he make OR or no? what inf you have?, this is more probably that he have KQ-KJ maybe K9/69 or flush draws:

I put the hands with that he might do this (limp/call in utg) and that connect in this flop (for example: 9Ts J9s 65s are hands that he can limp/call in utg but this hands have blockers in flop, only put hands suited that connect in this flop)

if you think that missing hands. let me know and I edit

Versus these aggressive villains in this flop it is a good stack with AK

btw how you played this hand, i like and i make fold in this turn!

GL Mal!

I think both calling the flop to let villain spew off on turns and reraising the flop are good. A jam might be overkill tho. If you're going to 3bet the flop make it ~20something.

I really hate the fact that this should be a fold but I think that's correct. Without much info on villain I have to assume shoving >2x pot on the turn is unlikely to be a bluff. You're correct about your equity if you're up against 96 but you're much worse off if he has K9, K6, sets or flushes.

@juanoell , thank you for that effort sir, most kind and yes, villain showed up with 96 and held ofc.

@Komododragonjesus and everybody, I did call it off because my hand looked so pretty I thought I had plenty of outs, the 36% came from later analysis in equilab. Go me. Speechless

I later found a video on here on this very topic that if I'd watched first would have made this fold quite trivial! Doh!

Thank you heaps evrybody, very nice lesson indeed.
