Blaze v anon but opponent is 6-tabling and stacked up on them all.

I thought this was a bit tricky. I was watching video about ranges and flop textures and it came to mind here. In a 4bet pot I don't really like any broadway on the flop please!

So, sensibly, when I get the dreaded minraise it's JJ+ or overplayed AK (meh, unlikely) surely and I just have to decide if it's JJ/QQ/KK or a split.

Think KK goes for gold pre even deep? I don't know. QQ might do this to see if they can get a fold and fold to a shove.

So a bit confused as to my best play since there're no draws; call and try to pot control a bit to showdown, fold because it's 'always a bloody set of Js' or shout 'For Spaarrrtaaa' and ship it.

Thanks. Smile

i would never fold this. you can be vs JJ+. so there is 3 combos of JJ, 6 combos of QQ and KK and 1 combo of AA. In a total of 16 combos you are loosing to 3, splitting with 1 and beating 12 of them. I like my odds. Plus there is always the change that the guy doesn't have JJ. its a really dry flop and the pot is pretty deep so whats the chances of him to raise JJ here? he can just flat and you 2 would be commited on turn. I think its more likely for him to be holding a hand like KK that tried to trap pre and now is trying to go all in fast!

Since you are IP and you are totally commited i would just call in case the guy is trying to bluff a random 78o or some shit but would never fold this. Call to go all in turn or river!

The only logical option is to call their min raise. Shoving folds out all bluffs (which they can be doing given deepness and how dry the board is). If they have flopped a set I don't think anyone is raising on that dry board.

I'd be calling the flop and pretty much calling down.

Calling looks to be the only real option. With no draws out there all we achieve by shoving is making him fold his bluffs.

The stack depth makes this tricky. At 10NL I don't expect most villains to play QQ this way but trying to get 200bb+ in with one pair is still not always going to be +EV.

One thing which sticks out is that we don't expect people to be 3 betting MP OOP with small pocket pairs. JJ is of course possible but still unlikely imo. Calling again on the turn seems a must but it's going to leave an awkward stack size on the river if he shoves and we're getting decent odds.

@Turlock and @Harvie That's the point really, how do I pot control it now he raises and I'm playing guessing games on the turn and river? Would you make a decision on the turn for stacks or getting out even on a blank? What about say a blank 3 on turn and another on the river? Surely if villain keeps betting it's tie to put the money in on the river anyway?

I'm still lost. It's situations like these where I usually say, 'If in doubt, get out'.

@Pwll Personally I would make my decision based on villain's turn bet size. If villain is happy to shove 132bb into a 148bb pot then I would play it safe and fold.

I just don't see an average 10NL player going bananas with QQ in this way. It's also likely that if he's happy to stack off QQ KK in this manner then he's also likely to be stacking KK preflop for 206bb anyway, leaving only QQ to think about.

Ye, that's about what I thought you might say.

Thank you yet again.

Is he really calling a 4bet OOP with JJ that often and then raising on that board? Seems mental to do. So we got to call down.

However it is always a set of Jacks. Emo
