Given your description of villain I'd call the minraise, evaluate what the river brings and see if villain gets fruity. I don't see 4% raise turn cbet as very big though so I would be cautious just the same, I don't want to bloat the pot with one pair since we are a little bit deep.

Hey,

a small bet is more powerful on that texture on the flop, if you want to bet. I check these low boards 100% of the time with my whole range because that board prefers the player IP, the ranges are a bit regardless if villain plays reasonable preflop. AKo is x/f or x/c, depends on sizing, if villain bets too much against checks (most people do that), easy call.

Now you bet, villain calls. Most Regs have all sets in their range BU vs. UTG (no good strategy but reality on NL10 I think), it's okay to call them on the flop and raise the turn, or the river but it's also okay to raise them on the flop.

Facing a turn raise with AK here is very ugly against most players but with your reads I tend to shove because you block no reasonable draws, if you are beat you have to call the river anyway, sucks on any club.

OOP sucks, right? Keep pots small and life at the tables is way more easier and more profitable Wink

Ugly spot, I think Eroticjesus' comment is really well written. I would feel a little lost here aswell. Think I like a check on the flop a little better than betting it out, planning to call atleast one street to reevaluate. As played I doubt i'd be folding to the minraise but it just seems to me we'll have a nightmare on any river anyways.

Can't really add anything else other than to stress how betting so large (pot) on these low dryish boards gets us in a world of trouble on every turn if he calls, even now when we hit our best possible card we are still in a tough spot. Think about how much money you're losing there on average when called, and there are some opponents who will call a pot bet with the same range as a half pot bet. Also I don't bet this board at all, I check call flop and maybe even turn if it goes check check on flop.
