AK 50nl

Opponent is an aggresive recreational. Given he's aggresive I didn't like the idea of a CB as he can raise me off my hand a reasonable amount.

Given he has a 33% fold to 3b (albeit small sample size) I felt he could have a lot of draws that wouldn't fold to a cbet either but once I c/r they may find it diffult to call and we have reasonable equity. Also given he's aggresive he'll probably bet this flop fairly wide as I'm giving up a lot when I check here. so I can extract the most from the air part of his range.

Once the A hits although I do block KQ he can have KQ, AT,AJ and he is probably less likely to be aggresive with draws given I've shown strength on the flop?

So should I fold the AK here? and What do you think the c/r in this spot with the plan of gamming the straight and any diamond on the turn?

why are you raising the flop? that`s pretty bad, you should just be c-betting here about 50-65% pot then bet folding the turn when he ships all in cos all you beat is ace queen or if you do check turn its not to check raise with 2 overs and a gutter its to check call tho check calling in this spot is not good either imo

Agree with above. Not sure why we're rasing that flop as we'll have to fold if shoved on, turn jam we never get called by worse IMO.

Also his stats seems like they came from 6-max, so I would not look into them all that much for HU as they'll play wider for sure.

I wouldnt play this fast on the flop either. Cbet looking to fold or c/c is miles better than c/r imo. Iffy spot on the turn but since we are so far down our range im fine with c/f.

I opted to c/r from a GTO prospective of protecting my checking range and also to extract value from bluffs that fold to my raise, whilst having reasonable requity. In saying that it's probably harder to play and -EV when I stack on the A.

I reckon you guys are right, I like the c/c option in particular. Because once we call we actully have quite a strong range and I don't see him bluffing too many turns and rivers
