OOP QsTs7d - Hero betting range?

Posted 8 years ago

Just looked at this spot as prep for my next few how to crush in 15mins study videos and I think it is really interesting.

Situation:
Hero opens in EP or MP and we get called by the CO or the BTN.
Flop: QsTs7d
Hero?

I worked out that we really don't get many folds on this kind of flop texture (no shit Wink ) so therefore we can't just go ahead and cbet ATC (again no shit Wink ). So I've been looking into what kind of betting range I would have and what my plan is OTT and what I do with a x/c range, x/r range and when I will delay cbet.

I won't put up exactly what I have because I need to get ready for work... And I don't really want to influence people's ranges!

What would guys all do here? What are you cbetting, what are you x/c & x/r, what are you barreling again OTT and then again OTR, and what range do you delay cbet with if it goes x/x OTF?

Pretty cool spot. Just had a look and at a quick glance with my range this board catches a lot of it in one way or another, so looks like there are tons of options. Just 2nd pair or better (Tx, Qx, JJ, KK, AA, 2pair and sets) hits about 40% of my range and if you throw in 7x its about 45%. When I threw in OESD's, some of which of which have a combo draw to the flush, and spade flush draws you are at about 55% of my range. That doesn't include any back door draws to the spades or diamonds or gutshots.

Can't say I have much experience with this but gonna use Power Equilab, Flopzilla and the free version of Combonator to have look at this and see what I can figure out. I am really interested to see what others say. This is exactly the kind of stuff I have wanted to start working on, so it will be interesting to see how others go about it.

Great thread Nick!

I'll be following here, this reminds me of what @fawltyfelix was talking about with working out what to do with 'flop clusters' and this just being one this fits into a certain type. Interesting.
